Holi is a spring festival celebrated in the Indian sub-continent during the month of March in honour of the Hindu God Lord Krishna. This is a festival of colours-a festival of love, friendship and bonding.
It is celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety on the full moon day of the month of Phagun which is the month of March as per the Gregorian calendar.
Nature too, seems to rejoice at the arrival of Holi and adorns its liveliest colours. Feilds get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air.
GIASOWA Learning Centre
Ladies of GIASOWA were desiring to impart knowledge and training in extra curricular activities to under privileged children.
The Government Primary School at village Borij near Gandhinagar was adopted and we the ladies have tried to interact with the children to develop their skills beyond regular academics.
A learning centre was started by us on 18 th September 2018, the date of birth of our Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.
It was inaugurated by Smt.Anjaliben Rupani, wife of our ex-Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani.
I wrote this poem to commemorate the inauguration of the learning centre and have worked for the development of Cursive Writing skills of students.
